Want to learn how to plant a native garden from scratch and get your hands dirty while you’re at it? The Burbank Branch and Wild Seed Project (WSP) are teaming up to offer a hands-on planting workshop.
You’ll learn how to convert a lawn into garden beds using the tried-and-true sheet mulching method, apply some simple “cues to care” design principles, and practice planting a variety of native perennials. In the process, you’ll help create a pollinator-friendly, Community Seed Garden at Burbank Branch and leave with the confidence and tools to embark on your own native planting.
Please note that this event will take place outdoors. We encourage you to bring sunscreen, water, and weather-appropriate clothing. Rain or snow dates will be determined and communicated by staff if needed.
