You’ll find several great mini golf courses in Southern Maine. Many are located on or near Route 1 (aka Portland Road). We even found one mini golf course where we could bring our dogs, Oscar and Sadie with us. Yes, Maine has dog-friendly mini golf. Who knew?

Where to go mini golfing in Southern Maine
The mini golf season in Southern Maine runs from May until late September or early October, depending on the weather. Most places reduce their hours before Memorial Day and after Labor Day.
Therefore, if you’re heading out during those times of the year, it’s best to call ahead. Also, most places stop allowing golfers to start rounds at about 30-45 minutes before closing.
Wicky Ralph’s Ice Cream and Mini Golf in Acton
Wicky Ralph’s is an 18-hole dog-themed mini golf course. What’s great about golfing here is that you are supporting a great cause. The proceeds from the course and the related ice cream shop support the adjacent Grammy Rose’s Dog Rescue and Sanctuary, a no-kill shelter.
Hours are 11am-9:30pm. It costs $10 for adults (8+) and $8 for kids and seniors. Kids under two are free.

Raptor Falls in Arundel
Raptor Falls mini golf is designed around a dinosaur theme. Play 18 holes amongst animatronic creatures of yesteryear. After golf, enjoy ice cream from local maker, Shaker Pond.
Raptor Falls charges $14 for adults (12+), $11 for kids, seniors and military. Kids two and under are free. If you want to play a second round while you are there, it is just $6. They are open seven days from 10am-10pm.

Steamboat Landing in Naples
Steamboat Landing mini golf features local history and scenery along its 18-hole course. It also manages to incorporate traditional mini golf obstacles like a windmill along with its iconic Maine lighthouse, yellow-clad fisherman and New England covered bridge.
Steamboat charges $9.75 for adults (13+), $8.50 for kids, seniors and military. Kids three and under are free. If you want to play a second round while you are there, it is just $3. There’s a small snack shop.
They are open seven days per week, noon-9pm on Sunday, 10am-9PM Monday-Thursday, and 10am-10pm on Friday and Saturday.

Mini Golf in Old Orchard Beach, Maine
Old Orchard Beach offers two mini golf choices. Save Jungle Adventure for a rainy day. It is the only indoor course on our list.
Jungle Adventure
Jungle Adventure combines mini golf with the black light feel of laser tag. In other words, you can play glow in the dark mini golf.
The 18 holes feature 3D art (glasses included). This course is indoors and air conditioned — a great option on a super hot summer day or when you want to cool off after going to the beach just down the block.
Jungle Adventure charges $13 for adults (11+) and $10 for kids. If you want to play a second round while you are there, it is just $6. There’s a small arcade outside of the course.
They are open seven days per week, Sunday-Thursday 11am-7pm and 11am-8pm on Friday and Saturday.

Pirate’s Cove
As its name suggests, Pirate’s Cove is worthy of a visit from Jack Sparrow. Pirate’s Cove is actually a chain with more than two dozen locations across the country. The one in Old Orchard Beach has two 18-hole courses.
Pirate’s Cove charges $10.50 for adults (13+) and $9.50 for kids. Kids under four are free. If you want to play both courses while you are there, it is just $14.50 for adults and $13.50 for kids. It’s open daily from 10am-9pm.

Mini Golf in Saco, Maine
Saco offers a pair of great courses that are near the shopping areas of Route 1 as well as local beaches.
Schooner Mini Golf
Schooner mini golf offers two things that most other courses do not. One, it has a beer garden that serves wine and beer. Seriously. You can grab a drink before or after you play mini golf.
There is no food, other than ice cream and chips, so if you want to make a meal of it, swing by a nearby restaurant and grab takeout. There is ample seating.
And, two, Schooner welcomes well behaved, leashed dogs. This is a first for us — dog-friendly mini golf.
Here are the dog-friendly beaches in Southern Maine.
The 18-hole course is nautically themed. It is open daily from 10am-10pm. The beer garden is open from noon until 9pm.
The cost is $12 for adults (13+), $10 for kids, seniors and military. Kids three and under are free.

Martel’s Ice Cream and Mini Golf
Martel’s offers two 18-hole courses. Serenity Falls feels like you are golfing around a relaxing lazy river. Maine Getaway has the feel of a traditional mini golf course with Maine-themed obstacles.
The cost is $10 for adults (12+), $9 for seniors and military and $8 for children. Kids four and under golf for free. A second round is $5 for all ages.
Be sure to stop in at Martel’s Ice Cream after you play. The shop offers 40 flavors plus rotating flavors. Mini golf takes credit cards, but the ice cream is cash only. Ice cream is open 11am-9pm. Golf is open 10am-8pm.

Mini Golf in Wells
Mini golf in Wells, Maine is offered in two locations. Both are located along Post Road (Route 1).
Wonder Mountain Fun Park
Wonder Mountain Fun Park is a mini amusement park with go karts, an arcade and a maze along with two 18-hole mini golf courses. The courses involve climbing mountains and golfing through caves. A large waterfall is in the center of it all.
Prices are $14 for adults (12+), $10 for seniors and kids. Kids under 4 are free. It is $6 for a second round. There are also combo tickets available for multiple attractions.

Wells Beach Mini Golf
Wells Beach Mini Golf is located at the front of the Sun Outdoors RV park. The 18-hole course is built around a castle with a waterfall.
