Did you know that LL Bean has a daily markdown exclusively online? Neither did I until I did. And then I learned that LL Bean actually offers a number of daily specials and deals that are accessible online only. So, let me give you the lowdown on these LL Bean daily deals and how they work.
What is the LL Bean daily markdown
This daily price reduction, also known as the LL Bean 2 a day, is when the LL Bean website promotes a sales special on specific items it sells. This is something you can access online only. You won’t find these exact offers if you visit the L.L. Bean store in Freeport.
I remember learning about the LL Bean daily markdown back in the days of Twitter’s infancy. If my memory is correct, LL Bean would announce on its Twitter feed exclusive offers on items they’d marked down for that day only.
Of course, there were a limited number of items in the inventory available for purchase at these special prices. And then once they sold out, the sale was over.

It was kind of like how QVC works with Today’s Special Value. Anyway, I can remember getting great deals on LL Bean home items, like bedding, as well other categories.
In fact, I could swear that we purchased the blue and white LL Bean duvet cover that we still have on our bed all these years later during a daily sale.
Interestingly, LL Bean still sells this same duvet cover. It’s called the sunwashed percale comforter cover. Anyway, as I mentioned, there are two kinds of LL Bean daily markdowns. There are new deals every day. Let me explain how that all works.
LL Bean two-a-day markdown
First, there are the LL Bean twice daily price reductions. It is literally called Two-a-Day Daily Markdown.
This is how it works. At 6 a.m. Eastern, LL Bean releases the first of the twice daily markdowns on a specific item. Then, at 2 p.m. Eastern, LL Bean releases the second of those twice daily markdown specials. As shown here, it can include apparel but it’s not limited to that category.
Also, if you scroll down on the Two-a-Day Daily Markdown page, you’ll see other items that are also marked down. However, I get the sense that these special offers aren’t nearly as generous as the items that get highlighted twice a day. Many are marked down 50 percent. However, the other daily markdown sometimes goes as high as 90 percent off.
LL Bean daily special
Then there is the LL Bean daily special. This happens just once a day and usually focuses on items in the travel and outdoor gear categories. So, it could include camping gear, boots, backpacks or camping packs, tents and much more.
On the other hand, if you scroll down on this LL Bean daily markdown page, you’ll find other items on clearance. So, more discounts. I would recommend always scrolling when you visit this daily page. Because you could end up finding some great deals marked down 50% or more. For example, one day I found women’s wicked good slippers marked down almost 60% and selling for just under $30.
