Harmonious Beginnings: an Introduction to Musical Instruments
Join us for last of unique three-part series exploring the world of music through hands-on learning and live demonstrations. In each class, you’ll get an introduction to one of three incredible instruments: the cello, violin, and percussion tools.
Percussion Instruments and Rhythms
Step into the world of rhythm with percussion instruments with percussionist Brody Belanger. From drums to tambourines, you’ll learn how to play simple rhythms and understand the role percussion plays in music. This hands-on session will allow you to experiment with various percussion instruments, understand the resources available to help you discover more and learn what to do with them when you take them home.
After each class, attendees will have the opportunity to borrow the instruments from the library to continue practicing at home. No previous musical experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm!
