Tim Sample, a Maine native, is widely known for his unique New England humor that has earned him a national following. Praised as “Maine’s Humorist Laureate” by Charles Kuralt, Tim is celebrated for his storytelling style, which fellow Mainer Stephen King compares to legends like Mark Twain. Over his career, Tim has released more than a dozen albums of “down east” humor, including five on the iconic Bert and I label, and served as a correspondent for CBS’s Emmy Award-winning Sunday Morning from 1993 to 2004.
In addition to his live performances across the U.S., Tim has authored regional bestsellers like Saturday Night at Moody’s Diner and How to Talk Yankee. He’s also narrated award-winning projects, including Stephen King’s Drunken Fireworks, which became the #1 audiobook on iTunes in 2015. Whether performing at major venues like The Mall of America or small-town theaters in Maine, Tim continues to delight audiences with his authentic and insightful humor.
