Target Circle Program Changing

POSTED BY
Leah Ingram

In March 2024, Target announced they were changing the Target Circle program. This is the store rewards program and also the app that you use on your phone when doing Target Drive Up. None of that is changing. Here are the details of what is changing about the Target Circle program.

New version of the Target Circle program

The new changes take effect April 7, 2024. Now, there will be three levels to the Circle program. Two are still free for shoppers to use. Let me explain how this new version may affect how you shop at the Target stores in Maine.

Basic Target Circle

I’m calling it basic Target Circle because this version is the same as the old one. Nothing really changes, except for this: you’ll no longer have to search in the app for coupons and deals. Target says deals will now be applied automatically at checkout. Also, you’ll still be able to Target Circle Rewards and take advantage of personalized deals through Target Circle Bonuses.

Target Circle Card

To save even more at Target, you can apply for a Target Circle Card, previously known as Target RedCard and they’ll get an extra 5% off every day. Also, this card comes with additional benefits, such as extra time to return items and free two-day shipping on hundreds of thousands of items on Target.com. Get details here about free two-day shipping.

Target Circle 360

This is the new, paid subscription service from Target. My guess is they’re going down this road to compete with Walmart+ and Amazon Prime. Anyway, Target Circle 360 costs $99 annually. However, you can reduce that annual fee to $49 if you add the Target Circle Card to your account. With this paid service, some of the benefits include:

  • unlimited free same-day delivery for orders over $35 in as little as an hour with no delivery fees or markups
  • free two-day shipping on qualifying items
  • access to Shipt Marketplace, which offers same-day delivery from more than 100 retailers nationwide (though not sure if this means Shipt will be free to use at Target now)

As soon as the program launches and I learn more, I can share more details here with you. In the meantime, if you have questions, let me know.
