If you can’t get your pets in to see Santa at the Maine Mall this year, you have other options for getting a picture with Santa. Go visit some of your local pet retailers. Many are offering pet photo shoots with Santa this year. It would a great time to put your dog in their ugly Christmas sweater.
Photos with Santa at Petco
There are a handful of Petco stores in Maine. However, only two in Southern Maine are participating in the Petco Photos with Santa event on Saturday, December 2, 2023. It runs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The participating stores are:
- Petco Auburn, 105 Mount Auburn Ave.
- Petco South Portland, 220 Maine Mall Rd.
Pet photos with Santa at PetSmart in Maine
There are three PetSmart locations in Southern Maine. The one we visit and that is closest to us is Biddeford. The other two are in Brunswick and Scarborough.
You’ll want to mark your calendarfor the upcoming Paws and Claus Photo Event. That’s PetSmart’s pet pictures with Santa event.
Paws and Claus Photo Event is 12/16/23 and 12/17/23. Availability by location is subject to change without notice. For instance, when I checked the page for each of the Southern Maine PetSmart stores, I didn’t see anything about the Paws and Claus event there.
Also, PetSmart suggests you make an appointment as appointments receive priority. But, again, I didn’t see anywhere to make that appointment.
So my best recommendation? Call your local Maine PetSmart store and ask to confirm their participation. Here are the details for each store.
