When the Easter Bunny is at the Maine Mall
The Easter Bunny arrives at the Maine Mall on Friday, March 28. Pictures are available between 2 pm and 7 pm that day. Then, Bunny is there everyday until Saturday, April 19. Appointments are every 15 minutes. Hours vary according to the day.
Because of Maine laws about holiday closures, the Maine Mall will be closed on Easter Sunday — Sunday, April 20. So don’t wait until the last minute to get your picture time booked.

When we booked our appointment last year to take Oscar and Sadie — our fur children — to see the Easter Bunny, we did the whole thing online. Here are reasons you should consider booking ahead of time online — though walk-ins are allowed:

Special pet times and days
Just like when Santa showed up for holiday pictures, the Easter Bunny is setting up shop inside the Maine Mall near the Old Navy entrance. And just like with Santa, there will be special times devoted to pet-friendly pictures.
As I mentioned, my pups Oscar and Sadie were lucky enough to see Santa at the Maine Mall and get their pictures taken. We brought them back for pictures with the Easter Bunny during the special pet days and times.
The pet events are always on Monday and Tuesday, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Here are the specifics for Easter Bunny pet times for 2025.
- March 31, 2025: 4:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m
- (no joke) April 1, 2025: 4:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m
- Monday, April 7, 2025: 4:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m
- Tuesday, April 8, 2025: 4:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m
Note that this is only two of the Mondays and two of the Tuesdays but not everyone during the Easter Bunny’s time at the Maine Mall.
We went on a Monday at 6:00 p.m. and we were the only family with pets there to see the Easter Bunny. The photographer was excellent in getting Oscar and Sadie to pay attention.
Easter Bunny pictures on demand
As it was with the pictures with Santa, the folks from Cherry Hill printed out our pictures right on the spot. We were able to take them with us.
Then, within the hour we got a text with a link that let us download any or all of the pictures they took during our session. They even included outtakes, which I think is hilarious. Here is one of those outtakes or bloopers.
Easter Bunny picture reservations suggested but not required
Your best bet is to make your pictures reservations online ahead of time Visit whereisbunny.com to choose the date and time most convenient for you and your family — two legged or four. Once you get to the website and choose the Maine Mall in South Portland, you’ll see a dropdown menu for dates and times.
You can toggle the header between “All” and “Events” to see the special pet parties. You’ll know you’ve found them when you see the blue-ish pawprint next to the time. As I mentioned earlier, the pet parties are always on one or two of the Monday and Tuesday dates, and are later in the afternoon or in the early evening.
That being said, walk-ins or walk ups are always welcome. You may have to wait a bit, though.
