One of our goals for the new year is re-subscribing to HBO Max and Hulu so we can catch up on our favorite shows. You know, when it is snowy and cold out and the sun is setting before 4 p.m. here in Southern Maine.

HBO Max and Hulu Black Friday Deals
This past year we cut down on our streaming services as a way of saving money. But knowing that there are two Black Friday deals for Hulu and HBO Max, now might be the time to sign up again. Maybe you feel the same so I wanted to share these deals with you.
So, why do we want HBO Max and Hulu back? Let me count the shows we need to catch up watching.
Hulu Black Friday Deal
On Hulu, there are the following shows:
- Only Murders in the Building
- Reservation Dogs
- The Bear
- The Handmaid’s Tale
For at least both Reservation Dogs and The Handmaid’s Tale, I know that these are the final seasons of each show. So definitely don’t want to miss out on those.
I’m sure there are many more that we’ll discover if we take advantage of this Black Friday deal for Hulu.
So what is the deal? Well, if you sign up through this link to Hulu, you’ll pay $.99 or 99 cents a month for a year. After that, you will auto-renew at $7.99 a month. That’s still cheaper than a single movie ticket, am I right?
HBO Max Black Friday deal
Now onto HBO Max, just called Max. I feel the need to put in the “HBO” qualifier because Max makes me think about the old-timey cable channel Cinemax. But I’m getting off topic.
Well, both Succession and Game of Thrones, HBO shows, are over. However, I hear a second season of The Last of Us is coming. Can’t wait for that. And if we want to watch a Game of Throne prequel, there is House of Dragon. Finally, I sure hope Hacks is coming back. Love that show.
Also, if you never got around to seeing the Barbie Movie in theaters, you can watch it on HBO Max.
So plenty of reasons to take advantage of this HBO Max Black Friday deal. What does that add up to for you and me?
Well, if you sign up for the HBO Max Black Friday deal, you’ll pay $2.99 a month for six months. After that, you’ll pay just $9.99 a month.
Max shows set in Maine
In case you didn’t know, you can watch a few shows on HBO Max set in or inspired by Maine. These include a new Stephen King show coming soon as well as the always fun to watch Cabin Masters, where they renovate people’s camps.
If you decided to get a Black Friday deal on a new Roku TV at Marden’s or Costco, then you’ll defintely want to sign up for one of these streaming deals for Hulu or HBO Max or both!
