The first Friday in June is always National Doughnut Day or Donut Day if you like to spell it that way. Either way, that means that Friday, June 6, 2025 is a day when you may be able to find free or cheap doughnuts/donuts in Maine.
Where to go on National Donut Day in Maine
When I’d included National Doughnut Day in my roundup of free food holidays, I’d mentioned that Cumberland Farms and Dunkin’ had offers in the past. Also, that I expected that The Holy Donut in Portland, Scarborough and Arundel might have something to offer. So let me tell you what I found at these places and more.
The Holy Donut
The Holy Donut finally updated their deal for National Doughnut Day 2025. You’ll get a baker’s dozen — or 13 doughnuts — when you buy 10. So, in other words, purchase 10 donuts and you’ll get 3 for free.
Circle K
In the past, Circle K convenience stores have offered some sort of deal on doughnuts on National Doughnut Day. I haven’t seen what exactly, if any, they’ll have for 2025 but I’ll keep looking. I know they’ve participated in food holidays like National Cookie Day in the past.
There are more than a dozen Circle K stores in Southern Maine, including in the following towns:
- Biddeford
- Eliot
- Falmouth
- Kennebunk
- Kittery
- Portland
- Saco
- Sanford
- Scarborough
- South Portland
- Standish
- York
Congdon’s Doughnuts
Not gonna lie: Congdon’s Doughnuts in Wells is my favorite place in Maine to get traditional doughnuts. They just updated their their deal for National Donut Day 2025 and, unfortunately, it isn’t the great BOGO deal from the past. This year, you’ll get one free doughnut with a $10 purchase. That’s the deal. I’ve shared the picture, above, from their social media feed as confirmation.
Cumberland Farms
In the past, Cumberland Farms gave customers a free donut with the purchase of any dispensed beverage on National Doughnut Day. I haven’t seen what their 2025 deal is yet but I’ll keep looking.
Dunkin’
According to my colleagues at Living on the Cheap, you’ll be able to get a classic doughnut for free on June 6, when you purchase a beverage.
7-Eleven
Just in time for National Donut Day on June 6, the world’s largest convenience retailer is offering an extra sweet deal — 50-cent glazed donuts.
For one day only, 7Rewards® and Speedy Rewards® members can grab a classic glazed donut for just 50-cents at participating 7-Eleven® or Speedway (in New Hampshire) locations.

Supermarkets
I have also found that many grocery stores offer deals on donuts for National Donut Day. The deals should be announced on June 4, as part of their weekly ad. So be sure to check out what Hannaford, Shaw’s or Market Basket has to say about doughnuts in the coming week.
