In 2025, it will be 75 years since cartoonist Charles M. Schulz introduced the world to The Peanuts. And in a weird, seasonal convergence this year, more than 75 farms in the United States will have a Peanuts-themed corn maze this fall. One of those farms is here in Maine.
Peanuts Themed Corn Maze in Maine
Call it “Happiness is…a corn maze” at Thunder Road Farm in Corinna, Maine. It’s located northwest of Bangor, so definitely a day trip from Southern Maine.
It, along with more than 75 farms in the United States and Canada, were selected by Peanuts Worldwide to create a Peanuts maze this year. These mazes are custom created by the world’s largest corn maze consulting company, The MAiZE Inc.
Each farm grows its own unique maze design, with the mazes ranging in size from 1.5 acres to 20 acres. Some corn mazes are actually sunflower mazes.
“75 Years of Peanuts” is a theme in several of the mazes, along with these themes:
- Snoopy atop his famous doghouse
- Snoopy frolicking in sunflowers
- Snoopy atop a giant pumpkin
- Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Linus, and Woodstock in the pumpkin patch
- Even a “Snoopy 4 Prez” maze
