When it comes to Small Business Saturday, many cities and towns have put together a slate of special shopping events for the residents and visitors alike. It’s a great way to encourage us to shop locally.
For example, the Saco salon where I get my haircut is having a special, beauty-related event for clients on Small Business Saturday. It includes a free workshop on using certain products. Plus, you can get free swag. I love it.

Saco’s Small Business Saturday
I found a Facebook listing for Saco’s annual Small Business Saturday event. It runs 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 25.
Head to Post Office Park to pick up your free $10 Saco Bucks, courtesy of the Saco Maine Street organization. Then, go spend it at one of the participating Saco businesses.
Also, stop in at The Saco Scoop to write a letter to Santa. Why not get ice cream, too.
