Both Teacher Appreciation Day and Teacher Appreciation Week happen in May. Usually, it’s the first week of May. However, for 2023 it is happening the second week of May.
So, May 8-May 12 is Teacher Appreciation Week this year.
On the other hand, Teacher Appreciation Day is supposed to be the first Tuesday of the first full week of May, which would be May 2, 2023.

Deals for Teacher Appreciation Week
One thing I wanted to point out: this educator holiday is a bit of a misnomer. I’ve found that, over the years, really anyone who works in education (teachers, staff, etc.) can benefit from freebies, deals and thanks during this educator-centric week.
In the meantime, I wanted to let you know where teachers and those who work in education in Southern Maine can go for special appreciation. This includes stores and restaurants that not only celebrate on Teacher Appreciation Day or Week but throughout the year with teacher discounts.
Buffalo Wild Wings
Thanks to my colleagues at Living on the Cheap, I learned that last year Buffalo Wild Wings gave educators at 20% discount. Hopefully, they’ll offer this again in 2023.
FYI, there is a single Buffalo Wild Wings location in Maine. It’s in Scarborough.
Chipotle BOGO for Educators
In the past, Chipotle has offered a BOGO (buy one, get one) freebie for teachers on Teacher Appreciation Day, May 2nd. I’ll keep checking the Chipotle Facebook page to see if this offer will be good again this year.

Great Wolf Lodge Teacher Appreciation Discount
