When it comes to national food holidays, there are actually two times during the year when you can celebrate National Cookie Day. One is the regular National Cookie Day, celebrated each year on December 4. The other is National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day. That happens in early August.
National Cookie Day in Maine 2024
Like with other national food holidays, such as National Coffee Day, Maine doesn’t always have as many offers as neighboring states. That’s because Maine simply does not have as many franchises and store locations than other states. I mean, it took until 2023 for us to get a Costco in Maine. See what I mean?
So I’ve done my best to put together a roundup for National Cookie Day for 2024 here in Maine. If I come across other offers, I’ll be sure to add it here or our Southern Maine on the Cheap Facebook page.
Circle K
I have it on good authority that Circle K convenience stores, the ones you’ll find at Irving Gas Stations, will be offering a free cookie on December 4th. Typically, you have to have the Circle K app on your phone and then the offer will show up on the food holiday. So look for that free cookie offer there.
There are more than a dozen Circle K stores in Southern Maine, including in the following towns:

- Eliot
- Falmouth
- Kennebunk
- Kittery
- Portland
- Saco
- Sanford
- Scarborough
- South Portland
- Standish
- York
Crumbl Cookies
There is a single Crumbl Cookies location in Maine. It is at Rock Row in Westbrook. In the past, Crumbl hasn’t offered free cookies, per se, on National Cookie Day. However, they have offered double points for Crumbl Rewards members when you buy cookies on that national food holiday.
Cookie Decorating with Mrs. Claus

Have a Christmas Cookie Exchange
National Cookie Day is the perfect time to host a Christmas Cookie exchange. Some libraries in Maine use this food holiday to do just that. If one near you isn’t offering this event, maybe suggest they try it next year on or around December 4th.
