March Madness Elite 8: Maine Lobster Rolls
As we mentioned in our original article announcing this Maine Lobster Roll March Madness contest, it was too overwhelming to start with a bracket of 64 options. So, we started with the Sweet 16 based on the articles we’d written about Maine lobster rolls. This included the following stories:
- The Best Lobster Rolls in Portland’s Old Port
- Best Maine Lobster Shacks Near Portland
- Food Trucks in Southern Maine
Elite 8 of Maine Lobster Rolls
So, who made the Elite 8? Seven eateries from the original Sweet 16 survey and one write in. Yes, enough of you wrote in Bayley’s Lobster Pound in Scarborough that it made the cut.
Here are your Elite 8, in no particular order:
- Lobster Shack at Two Lights, Cape Elizabeth
- Amato’s
- Bob’s Clam Hut, Kittery
- High Roller, Portland
- Bayley’s Lobster Pound, Scarborough
- Eventide, Portland
- Maine Diner, Wells
- Bite Into Maine Food Truck, Portland & Cape Elizabeth
Voting is now closed. Please visit this article on the Final Four to vote for the finalists.
March Madness Schedule
The actual basketball Elite 8 gets revealed on March 30. So, we’ll leave our survey below open until then and we’ll update to our Final Four choices after that. Please vote and please share this article with lovers of Maine lobster rolls. We can wait to bring you the next round of voting.
